INGREDIENTS

Peanuts- 2 cups (with skin,raw peanuts)
Kashmeeri chilly powder- according to your tolerance (half teaspoon)
Salt- to taste
Curry leaves- 2 sprigs
Asafoetida powder- a pinch or more
Oil- to fry (maximum one spoon)

DESCRIPTION

Spciy fried peanut masala: I fry peanut without masala in an oven but here I share how to make peanut masala easily in our stove top.Next time,I will post a fool proof recipe of microwave fried peanuts.

HOW TO PREPARE

Heat half tablespoon of oil in a wide thick bottom pan on a medium flame.

Add peanuts to this and stir continuously.

Bring down the flame to low- medium and stir well.

Keep on stirring.If you stop stirring peanuts might burn

After 15 minutes colour of the peanuts will change.

Add curry leaves to this and stir well.

Add salt and kayappodi and stir well.

After few minutes, when it is fried add chilly powder and mix well.

Reduce the flame to low and fry for few minutes.

Spicy Peanut masala is ready now.

Serve with a cup of tea.

TIPS

Adjust the quantity of chilly powder.

Add chilly powder at the end process of frying or else chilly powder may burn.

Adding hing/kayam gives a flavor to this peanut masala.
